How to Play Presidents
Presidents (also known as Scum) is an addictive shedding card game for 4-6 players. The goal is to get rid of all your cards before anyone else. The first player out becomes President, the last becomes Scum. In subsequent rounds, the Scum gives their 2 best cards to the President, who gives back 2 of their worst - creating a social hierarchy that's hard to escape but thrilling to upset.
Rules
Deal all cards evenly. The player with the 3 of Clubs leads. On your turn, play one or more cards of the same rank that beats the current pile (higher rank). If you can't or don't want to beat it, pass. When all players pass, the pile is cleared and the last person who played starts a new round.
2s are the highest rank (beats Aces). Card hierarchy: 3 (lowest) → 4 → 5 → ... → K → A → 2 (highest). You can play singles, pairs, triples, or quads - but you must match the count of the previous play.
Strategy
- Save your 2s. They beat anything and give you control of the pile.
- Dump low cards early when you can lead. Don't get stuck with 3s and 4s at the end.
- Watch card counts. When an opponent has 1-2 cards left, try to maintain control.
