Our 4x4 grid of tap pads gives you 16 distinct sounds at your fingertips. Each pad triggers a unique sound - from kicks and snares to synths and FX - depending on the kit you select. Tap pads light up when pressed, giving you instant visual feedback. The pads respond to both mouse clicks and touch, making Music Pad fully mobile-friendly.
16-Step Sequencer
The 16-step sequencer at the bottom of the interface lets you program patterns that play in a loop. Click any cell to toggle it on or off. When you press Play, the sequencer steps through each beat at your chosen BPM, triggering the corresponding pads. This classic step-sequencer workflow is the foundation of electronic music production, used in everything from drum machines to DAWs.
Multiple Sound Kits
Music Pad includes three distinct sound kits: Drums, Electronic, and Lo-Fi. The Drums kit features punchy kicks, crisp snares, hi-hats, and percussion. The Electronic kit offers synthesized bass, leads, and FX for electronic and EDM-style beats. The Lo-Fi kit provides warm, vinyl-style sounds perfect for chill beats and lo-fi hip-hop. Switch between kits instantly to explore different sonic palettes.
Record & Replay
Record mode captures your live pad taps and replays them in sync with the sequencer. Hit Record, play your pattern on the pads, then hit Stop. Your performance is saved and will play back when you start the sequencer. This lets you layer live improvisation on top of programmed patterns or capture spontaneous ideas for later refinement.
BPM Control
Adjust the tempo from 60 to 180 BPM using the slider. This range covers everything from slow, ambient grooves to fast, energetic beats. The BPM affects both the sequencer playback and the timing of recorded performances, so you can match the tempo to your creative vision.
